Burnley Mountaineering and Fellwalking Club was formed in 1952 as the Burnley Municipal College Mountaineering Club. It has been the mainstay of fell walkers in North East Lancashire ever since celebrating our 60th Anniversary in 2012. We welcome anyone who is interested in the outdoors to join, whether your interest in in rambling and low level walking, fellwalking, climbing, photography or bird watching. All age groups and abilities are welcome, as both families and individuals.

Our primary events are the Quarterly coach meets, usually on the second or third weekend of each month. These usually visit the lake district although two or three times a year we venture to other areas such as the Yorkshire Dales , North Wales, Derbyshire and occasionally the Scottish borders. Our coaches have pick up points in Padiham, Burnley, Nelson, Colne, Foulridge and Barnoldswick and Gisburn.
