Coach Meets...

Our coach picks up from various locations throughout the Burnley and Pendle area and then head off for the day. Once parked the coach remains where it is, usually near local amenities as the point of return at 5.30pm (5pm in Winter)
After being picked up at you designated stop see below, we will make our way to the destination for the day. Many members choose to get off the coach prior to the destination and do a linear or "through" walk, ending up at the destination.
Most members will join others on favourite routes but you are not tied to this if you want to walk by yourself, just put your route in the route book before setting off.

What to Bring and What To Expect...

Whether walking with others or on your own, you must enter your name in the route book, which is passed around the coach and where you will be returning from- usually the parked location of the coach.
If you do intend to walk alone you must be self sufficient and carry the appropriate maps. Only if you have agreed to join another group can you get away with this.
Conditions can vary massively between East Lancashire and the areas we visit, as can conditions at sea level and on the high fells. It is essential that you are suitably prepared for these conditions.
- Waterproofs, hat and gloves, extra fleece.
- Enough fluids for the day, including hot drinks in cold weather
- Lunch, sandwiches, snacks etc
- Walking boots, rucksack etc
In winter, additional equipment such as torch, ice axes, and crampons is recommended and ,depending on route, essential.
Finally it is recommended that you bring a change of clothes and footwear, for when you return. These can be left on the coach as it does occasionally rain and having some dry kit saves a miserable return journey.

Booking is essential for coach meets and can be done by contacting the Booking Secretary or Online Booking.

Junior Members - £5


Coach Times...

Please note that these are the new times for 2024 and are based on a single coach. The return journey drops off in reverse order to ensure fairness for all members
