Following the AGM in August we agreed we were going to run 4 coach meets in 2023. These would take place in March, June, September and December, and take place on Sundays. More local Saturday walks will talk place in the other months and will be published shortly.

In booking these we have been informed that the cost of coaches for running these events have effectively doubled since this year, and we are now being quoted around £800 per trip. At our current rates this would require ~45 attendees to make a trip viable! Even if we put the price up to £20 per trip as we have planned, this will still require ~40 attendees.

However, it may be that with fewer trips, and being run on Sundays, this means that people are willing to pay more, and we will get more members attending. This will of course be our hope; however, we are also investigating other options.

Therefore, whilst the coach meets will be published it is likely that either the price, the nature of the event or something, will change before the first planned trip to Keswick on Sunday 19th March.
